Ep21Emily

Anne: [00:00:00] Hi, I'm Anne. And I'm Helen. And welcome to Metaphysical Street Smarts. What is Metaphysical Street Smarts, Helen?

Helen: Physical is everything you can see with your human eyes. You can see, touch, feel, taste as a human. Metaphysical is that which you cannot see. Wi Fi, microwave energy. When you feel somebody staring at you, you can't really feel eyesight.

Helen: So metaphysical is that which you can't perceive with the human eye. Street smarts means let's take the woo woo, the energetic, the airy fairy, and add it to logic so that you can have a better experience of yourself. In this one,

Anne: as always, we invite you to take what blesses you and leave the rest. We're so glad you're here.

Anne: Let's jump in.

Anne: Hi, how are you this week? I'm great [00:01:00] this week. I'm feeling energized. It's February 27th when this is coming out and spring is around the corner.

Helen: Yes, it's

Anne: coming. It's coming. Uh, how are you doing this week?

Helen: Very good. Thank you. I'm always so delighted to be here.

Anne: Yeah, same. I'm, you know, actually the, the days coming up to recording, I get a little bit anxious.

Anne: And then as soon as we're recording, I just right back into it. And I love it. Just, uh, just something in my

Helen: brain. Well, that's the fear of the unknown and that it shows that you care that it goes well, right? Yeah. It's not, it's not that big, horrible fear. It's just the fear that, oh, I want things to go well and to bless lives and to show up well.

Anne: Exactly. That's my hope. That's my goal. All right. You ready for my cosmic nudge?

Helen: I [00:02:00] am looking forward. Curious as can

Anne: be. Unless we have any housekeeping, I don't have anything other than send us your questions. Yes, please do. Perfect. Well, my Cosmic Nudge this week is to tell you that we are working on moving to Australia for a few years.

Helen: That is a bombshell. It's not

Anne: going to change anything with the podcast or anything here. Remote is remote, so there's internet in Australia. But it's uh, we kind of had this idea that we wanted to do it with um, Caden's health issues. He's wanted to live abroad with our boys and Australia's a really safe and easy place for me to do that.

Anne: I guess I say safe. It's easy for me to imagine doing it because I grew up there, and I have family there, and, um, I love, I'm very drawn to the land itself. [00:03:00] Um, And he is too. And we actually looked at, I looked at our astro cartography and all of, all four of us have really important lines going through Melbourne.

Anne: Oh, that's awesome. Where we're going. So I'm like, What

Helen: an amazing experience to give your children. How old were you when you lived there? What

Anne: years? I grew up there until I, I moved here when I was 14.

Helen: Yeah, I, I always think that's amazing when kids can just truly live two different cultural experiences.

Anne: There are a lot of similarities and a lot of differences. I guess it's as different as, you know, here in England.

Helen: Yeah. Yeah, it's a different country, different topography, animals. Awesome. Well, I just want to say I hope I'll be coming to visit. Yes, please, always. I actually have relatives in Australia.

Anne: You do?

Anne: Yeah, I just haven't been I always think whenever someone moves overseas and like I got to go now while they're there because that's [00:04:00] the That's the way to do it is get the

Helen: inside.

Anne: Exactly

Helen: around exactly Oh, I just think that's delightful for your boys and for all four of you.

Anne: Yeah, I'm hoping it's uh, really It's received as a really loving gesture to Caden because I Like, my natural inclination has always been to just stay wherever my parents put me, essentially.

Anne: And, uh, and I just came to this thing, I just had this thought, Am I really going to let my parents pick where I live for the rest of my life? They're handling it, I think, as well as, like, my parents. Yeah, my boys are excited.

Helen: I bet. I'm excited for them. Yeah. Yeah, that's amazing. And it's like, it's a good time to go.

Anne: It's really good for all of us. It just [00:05:00] feels like the next thing and it's pretty good. Exciting

Helen: new adventure. I love it. I know.

Anne: So we'll be, we'll be an international show soon. Sometime later this year, but yeah, I just wanted to bring that up. I, um, it feels like a really cool way to. Create and align to what I want.

Helen: Yeah, it's beautiful. I love that. That you can, that all, you just have so many yeses. Yes, and I haven't wanted to visit relatives I've never met, but I would like to visit you and your boys and your husband.

Anne: Please, please, please. We will take you anytime. We're definitely, that's my parents were saying, my mom especially, she's like, okay.

Anne: Do it, but you have to make sure you have room for us. You got it. I want people to come visit. It's part of the fun. We get to share this awesome place that I love so much. So yeah. [00:06:00]

Helen: I love it. Not since COVID, but previously, relatives from England have come and stayed. And uh, it's just, it is fun showing people A different culture and I went once to visit there.

Helen: I came home and told my mom, thank you for moving to America.

Anne: Right? I think I, sometimes I feel torn away from it, but, um, uh, I definitely have benefited so much from being here and learning and growing up the other part here. I definitely, I mean, maybe somehow would have met Kayden, but that's, uh. I wouldn't have gone to school with him. Lots of good things. So it's funny to see how life unfolds and it's just a really just going with the flow [00:07:00]

Helen: trying to anyway Well, did I tell you you know, it used to be a running joke with my husband.

Helen: I'm like When are you retiring three or four years and he'd say depends what day you ask me? well now he's picked the date and so in two and a half years my 65th birthday, so May and Um, he'll retire and I want to live in a state with clean water. So it's fun talking about it, but people say, well, do you know where you're going?

Helen: We have no idea. Spirit will tell me when it's time.

Anne: So what, where has clean water? Does Texas have clean water?

Helen: Texas doesn't have any natural water except like Caddo, which is a very swampy area. Beautiful, but no, I don't know. Um, I mean, Utah is beautiful, Colorado. Yes. But there are so many states I don't even know.

Helen: Mm hmm. [00:08:00] And I'm like Yeah, and what's really cool to me is that my husband, he's okay in the not knowing, too. That's amazing. You know, and it might be different if we had grandchildren, but we don't. So it's like, let's go find somewhere he can go fishing, and we can go hiking, and yeah, be in a different environment than suburban Katie, which was perfect for raising the boys.

Helen: Yeah. On to a new adventure. Mm hmm. Yeah, so, how'd you want to do that for your cosmic

Anne: nudge? The nudge part was a really clear, it's a really big example. In my life of just following breadcrumbs, of making a choice of, of what I want my reality to look like, the environment that I want to create in, I guess what I'm aligning to is

Helen: Saying yes to Caden, giving the boys a great adventure.

Anne: Saying yes to being in a place that I feel [00:09:00] very Drawn and at home and also with very nearby my cousins. Yes, to, to that feeling of this is where I want to be and I'm allowed to make that choice for myself.

Helen: Yeah, that's beautifully

Anne: said. And then, like, the social policies as well of hopefully, in my mind, aligning to a system that supports and works for everyone.

Anne: Ideally, nowhere is perfect, but maybe a little bit closer in my mind at least.

Helen: Yeah, it's a great alignment. And the flip of that is, there's no real reason to say no.

Anne: My career isn't really transferable. It's also not really what I feel drawn and called to do. I don't think I necessarily, career wise, feel called or drawn to anything, except I do feel called to learn many different [00:10:00] things and ways of, of living and earning money.

Anne: And, I just don't think there's a wrong answer for, for me, at least, of how I do that, and so there's so much choice open, I get to just kind of, I don't know, somehow I'm still ending up in jobs that make me enough money to have what I want, which is a healthy, happy life, successful life. Yeah, so why

Helen: would that stop?

Helen: That'll just transfer there. Yeah,

Anne: I fully, I don't know what it'll be, but I believe in it. I actually, I had this thought yesterday, in the morning, in my clear bathroom, um, of, I really, like, would not mind. I think I would, see I can't even say it for myself, I really would love to work in podcasting in some sort of like producing role [00:11:00] and okay I'm gonna just explore that a little bit and then later in the night I saw this lady that I've followed on Instagram forever, a podcast that I listen to, she was like, I can't do my own editing anymore, it's just too much, and I'm looking for someone to work with this.

Anne: And kind of when I was thinking about it, I was like, well, obviously I would want to work with women and support women and podcasts in kind of this like, spiritual energetic woo woo space, and that's really fun for me. And she's exactly that. She's actually an, uh, she's an astrocotographer, and she posted that that same day.

Anne: I was like, I skipped past it and then I went back because I was like, I don't know who this is for. It might be for me. This could be for me. I'm just gonna, I'm just gonna say, I'll send her an email about it and I'm not attached to the outcome of this either. This is a yes or it's [00:12:00] not, doesn't bother me, but I feel like I should at least not say no by not answering it.

Anne: Right? So we'll see.

Helen: Yeah, and it just gets the energy rolling in that direction. Yeah, either way.

Anne: Exactly. An easy yes. That's pretty cool. I'll take an easy yes.

Helen: And I love the timing of it. I

Anne: thought it was funny, because I've never, I've never seen anyone post anything like that, and it was just very funny timing.

Anne: Okay, you got it. I'll align to that. That's exactly what I want. More of that. Okay, so are we ready for our question from Emily today? Yes, please. Okay. Emily sent us her question. What are some effective ways to stay grounded during major life transitions, such as moving, divorce, or career changes?

Helen: Well, my consistent answer is [00:13:00] always do your what, why, how, how.

Helen: Getting clarity. My second layer of that answer is be aware you're not alone. Um, I love, I recommend this to a lot of people. There's a book called Hiring the Heavens by Jane, Jan Slatter. And anyway, you write a committee worksheet. You create an angel committee and you have a mission statement and you name which angels and what their job description is.

Helen: And it's this beautiful exercise to come out of the idea of separation and know that you're fully supported. And it brings your mind into a level of clarity when you think of all the moving parts. Whether it's moving, or divorce, or a big vacation, uh, it's, it's, or, you know, finding a new home or a new job, there's all these little details, and to think of having crystal clarity in what you're aiming for.

Helen: It, it just helps things [00:14:00] tremendously. So I, I would recommend that. And then staying grounded, it's, it's about being present. It's about being in gratitude for what's going right, even though you're going to feel the fear and uncertainty of all the unknowns. So when we feel that unease of the unknown, it's very helpful to balance it.

Helen: By being grateful for everything that you do have, you do experience that's available to you, and that helps to balance it out quite a bit. And then if you're really feeling flighty or flaky, um, just spread too thin, too many balls in the air, sometimes that can throw your body out of whack. So there's energetic ways to get your energies realigned.

Helen: One is thumping on the thymus while you say ha ha ha ha, H A H A H A, over and over and over. And you thump right on your thymus, which is right high on the sternum. And you say ha ha ha ha ha while [00:15:00] you're thumping. And that actually helps your energies to reset. And there's other energetic things you can do.

Helen: It would be smart if you're going through a really big change that has a lot of emotion, like a divorce. Um, or if it's a move you didn't, you're really uncertain about. Anything that can stir up a lot of uncertainty emotionally, it's really good to see an acupuncturist or a chiropractor or a body worker to try to help your physical form, you know, it's just loving and supportive of it.

Helen: Help your physical form deal with the unknown. It's also really important to take care of your body so that it can be of service to you. You know, make sure you get time. Um, uh, um, I think one of the things that we need to do is we need to be able to rest even if you're not sleeping soundly. Intend to create that time for it.

Helen: Be sure your nutrition is, is up leveled a bit, don't resort to fast food because it's fast and easy and you feel stressed because that will only add to your stress. So these are ways to stay grounded in the [00:16:00] big life changes. And so what does that mean to stay grounded? It just means have honor, love and respect for the physical form that you're in while you're making decisions, Big consciousness choices of change.

Anne: I have never heard it put that way. Staying grounded is honoring your body, essentially.

Helen: Yes, you know, for people like me, um, it's easy. We want to just be lost in the meditations, the woo woo, and the energy field, and yet that's disrespectful. I'm here in this vehicle, this body, this meat suit, right, of consciousness, and I'm part of Mother Earth through this body.

Helen: Let me take care of this vehicle that allows me all these experiences.

Anne: That's so beautiful. Another life changer. Okay. Well, do you have a question for Emily?

Helen: Well, just the four. Do the what, why, how, how. If you don't know what I'm referring to, um, you can, I'm [00:17:00] sure that Ann would email you. Uh, I think we have the book in the PDF.

Helen: You could read it. It's not a big thing. Read and then the worksheets and really hone in on that because in that clarity You'll be fully present with the highest outcome for yourself It's only when we get lost in the chaos and the not knowing and the vague energies that we can really stress the body and the mind out and then just miss a lot of opportunity for a better outcome

Anne: And, uh, with the What, Why, How, How, we have that bonus episode, the Conscious Co Creators Workshop.

Anne: If you don't know what Helen's talking about, you can go listen to that. Feel free to send us an email at hello at metaphysicalstreetsmarts. com. And absolutely, I'm happy to pass on those resources as well.

Helen: Yes, because when you get in clarity of why you want [00:18:00] the end result of the choice that you're making.

Helen: Moving, divorce, change of career, letting go of something, or going after something new. When you're in clarity for yourself, and you can emotionally engage with why you want it, and then you can be grounded and logistical on the how, and you can define what success would be. That's when you're co creating.

Helen: That's when you're allowing synchronicity and other people and energies to work with you for the highest outcome. And when we don't get into that clarity, then it's, it can be just hard on us at every level, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. So that's my question for you. How much clarity have you allowed yourself for this next big step or endeavor?

Anne: Amazing. I feel like that's, I mean, I was going to say that's been the theme of kind of the last four questions, but I mean, it's just the theme of everything. I feel like especially [00:19:00] all of, um, your work that you share essentially comes back to clarity. Yes,

Helen: it's, it's an unusual time for humanity. We're actually developing the skill of choice and awareness.

Helen: Instead of being just little habitual robots repeating, uh, childhood and genetic inheritance and, yeah, we're waking up and it, with waking up, you need a new skill set and clarity and choice are the big ones to develop.

Anne: Work out those muscles. Okay. Well, thank you very much for your question, Emily. We always appreciate you sending them in and everyone else, feel free to send us your questions, too.

Anne: We love hearing from you. And thank you, Helen, for being here.

Helen: Oh, it's so much fun, my part. Just getting to share and, and my intention is that it makes the [00:20:00] journey a little bit easier for others. Through my experiences, and I just find it so delightful. So thank you. And thank you everybody who has sent in a question Is going to send in one so that we can keep sharing through this format.
